Watch This Video To Learn How You Can
Better Protect Yourself And Your Company From
Lawsuits, Bankruptcy, and MASSIVE Headaches...
If you're not familiar with the Security Industry as a whole,
when it comes to legally protecting yourself and your company, there are hidden compromises you may be making,
whether you're aware of them or not...
Our CEO, Jonathan Kraut, spells it out for you in more detail below...
What A Security Company
MUST Have
vs.
SHOULD Have
These are the 9 mandatory protocols
every legitimate company must follow,
without exception:
-
A patrol officer must be licensed
-
Anyone who protects property, lives, or theft must be an employee—there are no contractor exemptions
-
All private patrol operators must carry $1M in liability insurance (which only protects the employees)
-
All employers must have worker’s comp insurance (contractors are exempt from WCI which puts you, the client, at-risk of lawsuits)
-
All security employees must be licensed with a state guard card (there is no exception for that)
-
The badges and patches must be state approved and contain the name of the company in the badge or patch
-
All security officers who are working at a location off-site (at client location) must be paid weekly
-
All officers wearing uniform—even if it’s a suit—must receive a uniform allowance or cleaning allocation (it’s a federal law and should be in their paycheck)
-
All these rules apply to everyone, including off-duty police officers (they must also be licensed, guard card, gun permit… they are not exempted from any of these requirements)
Here are the mandatory protocols
every legitimate company must follow,
without exception:
-
Avoid former guards that became private patrol business owners—often they do not have a formal education… they got a license but don’t know how to run a company or even do their taxes
-
Avoid former or off-duty police officers who may be able to write a ticket and apprehend someone, but again, don’t have the business skill or acumen to manage security personnel
-
Insist the PPO (Private Patrol Operator) conducts a comprehensive background check (live scans or state searches for a license is not comprehensive—it only checks for criminal records over past 3 years or so)
-
Hire a PPO that has an HR department or agency
-
Hire a PPO that has been in business for at least 5 years (means there’s client satisfaction)
-
Hire a PPO that has responsive, 24-hour dispatch (instead of waking up the owner in the middle of the night to tell them what went wrong!)
-
Avoid organizations that are too big to fail—they pay minimum wage or slightly over it, it’s run by stockholders and the personal attention you receive is probably inadequate
-
Hire a PPO that uses GPS or global fencing on their phones so when an officer leaves duty you’ll know
At this point you may be asking yourself...

Our Staff Are All Registered And Verified With CA
About 40% of licensed security officers in California fail to meet basic background check standards. All SNA personnel pass strict qualifications and background check standards, and our security officers are certified and registered with the State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).

In fact, when a new applicant is interested in employment with SNA, the applicant must present a current-issued California security registration card. The California security registration is verified by BSIS.

Please be aware: State issues licenses without checking warrants
