Description

Seeking a Part time/Rover security officer for the opportunity to work at a luxury, upscale residential apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles, near the USC campus. This is an excellent opportunity to prep for leadership positions, law enforcement careers, and professional development. Foot patrols of the complex will require up to 3-5 miles of walking per day. Must be self-disciplined, hard-working, and maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times. This is a fast-paced assignment. MUST have valid BSIS guard card.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of client staff, 3,000 residents, student guests, and property with foot patrols, observation skills, and professional presence.

  • Operate, monitor, and respond to security/fire/life/safety systems and integrated cameras.

  • Deter/remove unwanted trespassers/homeless and keep area secured.

  • Stay current on all policies and procedures and be ready to respond to management communications and emergencies.

  • At times, perform traffic control duties. Ability to stand at a fixed post position.

  • Have or develop intermediate computer skills to complete professional-level electronic Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports. 2-way radio communication experience.

  • Respond to both routine and crisis situations calmly and effectively.

Requirements

Education:

  • High school degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)

  • Security: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • BSIS Guard Card (Required)
